Orr, Garrett (Fr.)
Father Garrett Orr was ordained on June 11, 1983. In October 2003, a student at Georgetown Preparatory School reported that Orr sexually abused him. The school did not report the allegation to the police until May 2004. Orr was transferred to Loyola University in April 2004 to serve as a campus minister and was granted faculties as a priest by the Archdiocese of Baltimore upon the recommendation of the Maryland Province of the Society of Jesus. However, in May 2004, Orr was placed on administrative leave by the Jesuits pending an investigation into the abuse allegations. His priestly faculties were suspended, and the Archdiocese also revoked his faculties after learning of the suspension. Orr remained at Loyola without direct contact with students until his termination in October 2006. In 2011, Orr was arrested and charged with sexual abuse after former students reported allegations. He pled guilty and received probation as a sentence.
